Parks & Recreation
The City of Trenton is proud of our parks and the activities that it provides to our citizens. The Parks and Recreation Department was established in 1984. A full-time director coordinates the activities and oversees the maintenance. A Parks and Recreation Board of local citizens is appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen each year.
Shady Acres Park
The City of Trenton is proud of our Shady Acres Park and the activities that it provides to our citizens. The park has 4 ball fields that host a variety of baseball and softball, along with 4 tennis fields. Shady Acres Park is also recognized as one of nine Level IV Arboretum in the State of Tennessee. Our citizens can also take stroll on our walking trail and gaze upon 151 different species of trees that were planted in the park.
City Dog Park
The Dog Park is located at 110 YMCA Drive in Trenton. It is open from dawn until dusk every day of the year. The park features an area for smaller breeds and a area for large breed dogs.
Sanitary bags are provided for your dogs waste.
