Mayor’s Welcome

Welcome to the City of Trenton’s website. I would like to extend a personal invitation for you to learn more about our city through the media offered here. I also would like to invite you to visit us and take advantage of our hospitality and see our world famous collection of Night Light Teapots.

Trenton is a city of approximately 4600 people located in Gibson County. Established in 1824, Trenton is the oldest city in the county and also the county seat with one of the most handsome courthouses in the State of Tennessee. The people are hard-working and friendly with a sense of community and tradition.

Trenton is rich in history and culture. You can take a tour of the Civil War Battle of Trenton, view our teapots, drive through our historic home district, play golf on one of our two area courses, fish for bass in near-by Gibson County Lake, or just enjoy some famous Trenton bar-b-que in our beautiful park. Trenton has an exceptional school system, including a satellite campus of Dyersburg State Community College, a vibrant church life, and a myriad of community and civic groups.

            Please visit us soon.
